The following poem has been on my mind lately. I can definitely relate to the words that the author wrote. The words that have been standing out the most is I Rise and it's a reminder to me that no matter what I may go through it is only going to cause me to be better so much better because Greater is He who lives in me than he who lives in the world. Life is filled with ups and downs but one thing still remains the same -- God is Good! Life can be filled with so much pain but we can be assured that joy comes in the morning! Life can be strange sometimes but we know that all things work together for good! Life can be bitter sometimes but we know that God is sweeter than the honey comb! Life can throw you curve balls sometimes but we know that God remains the same -- He never changes! Life can seem confusing at times but we know that God is not the Author of confusion and He who began a good work in you will continue to perform it until the day of Christ Jesus. Life can seem too difficult to live at times but we know that His yoke is easy and His burdens are light. Life can make you want to give up sometimes but we know that we shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord and he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty God.

Have you ever set standard(s) for yourself that you thought were easy to attain and anyone should be able to live up to them but then you found out that not even you can live up to your own standard(s)? What do you do? Do you allow truth to come in so you can see the error of your ways and apply truth to correct it or lie to yourself and stay in a state of deception. My point here is not so much that it's wrong to have standards but where did they come from? Are they coming from God, His Word, and His principles. Or are they standards born out of shame, guilt, hurt, and pain. If it's the latter then your standards will always reproduce what it was birth from i.e. hurt, pain, death, guilt, shame, etc... If it's the former then it will bring forth life, health, liberty, peace, joy, happiness and all things good. Don't be a victim! Be a Victor and an Overcomer!!! To those of you who read my blog, thank you. I am sorry that I have not been posting. I have been really preocuppied with many things but I have been spending more time with facebook. I really like that network, it's very nice! However, I will be posting here again on a more regular basis and soon I hope. I have a lot to say and I have written alot of things.
